The Plan

This Saturday, I will begin an open-ended journey trough Europe and around the world. Here is my very tentative plan:

10/15/16- Fly from my home to New Jersey to Seattle to spend the weekend eating all the seafood imaginable and catching up with my college roommates.

[My roommates and me at graduation]

10/18/16- Fly from Seattle to Reykjavik, Iceland with my travel partner (TP) to stay with friends of friends, see the Northern Lights, jump in the Blue Lagoon, brave the cold.

10/24/16- Fly from Reykjavik to Amsterdam, tour the city, wander along the canals, meet Van Gogh, part ways with TP.

[Here's a stock photo of Amsterdam to break up all of this text]

10/28/16-10/30/16- Stay with friends of friends in Amsterdam, babysit their darling daughter, solo explore

10/30- Fly to Bilbao, the scene of my study abroad, stay with an old friend, practice my Spanish, eat pintxos and drink chocolate con churros.

11/3/16- Fly to Barcelona, check into the hotel room my brother has graciously gifted me with his rewards points, meet back up with TP, check out the city and the dance scene.

[Parc Guell, Barcelona]

11/6/16-11/30/16- Continue to explore Barcelona and Mallorca. Head to another nearby country such as Portugal or Croatia. Possibly start a tour of Italy and chase the sun.

November- Decide if I can bear a Christmas away from home. Book flights accordingly

Mid-December- Desperately search for a destination that is both safe and warm, looking at you Morocco and Tunisia.

[Where can I find this in Europe, in the winter?]

Mid-January- TP heads home to the States for an event and I fulfill all my parents hopes and dreams by actually coming home to visit. TP is easily persuaded to visit me in New York for the first time. We have a ball eating pizza and bagels to our hearts' delight.

Mid-February- TP heads to the Domican Republic. I decide whether or not to preempt him in South America. We take a cheap tour of Latin America, have our Spanish speaking skills ridiculed, take up tango and never come home.

Just kidding.

March/April/Beyond- We dig through our pockets for loose change (aka the funds) and our hearts for the willpower to continue the journey without murdering each other. Depending on what we find, we continue on to New Zealand, Australia, and Southeast Asia.
